How Crypton Realty collects, uses and protects your information when you use this site or contact Kate Fomina. Written plainly, with no legal fog.
The short version
Your privacy matters. Here is the plain-language summary, and the detail follows underneath.
If you submit a form on this site, your details go into my contact system so I can follow up with you. I do send marketing email as well as replying to people who contact me, and you can stop that at any time with one click. I do not sell your information. I never have.
This policy was last reviewed on August 4, 2026. It covers this website. It does not cover the separate paperwork inside a real estate transaction, which is governed by the agreements you sign.
What this site actually collects
Only what you type in. There is no hidden collection happening here.
The forms on this site ask for your first name, last name and email address. A phone number is optional on general contact forms and required when you request a guide. A message is optional. Some forms ask one or two extra questions, and those are visible on the form itself before you submit anything.
If you give a phone number and agree to be texted, the site records that you agreed, the exact wording you were shown, and the date and time you agreed. That record exists to protect you as much as me.
Standard web server information is also logged, the way it is on every website: the pages requested and rough technical details of the request. That is used to keep the site working and to stop abuse, not to build a profile of you.
Why it is collected, and what it is used for
Before or at the time of collecting personal information, the purpose is identified. Information gets collected and used only to fulfill the purposes specified, or other compatible purposes, unless you consent otherwise or the law requires something different.
In practice that means three things:
- Answering you. If you ask a question, I need a way to reply.
- Sending you the guide or report you asked for.
- Sending market updates and other marketing email, if you opted in. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Personal data is kept relevant to the purpose it was collected for, and is kept accurate and up to date to the extent those purposes require.
Where your information goes
This site is not a closed box, so here are the actual services involved. These are stated as fact because this site was built on them.
- GoHighLevel receives form submissions. That is the contact and follow-up system where your details are stored.
- Vercel hosts this website and serves its pages.
- Anthropic receives your messages if you use the chat assistant on this site, so it can answer you.
- Upstash may be used for rate limiting, which is the mechanism that stops automated abuse of the forms.
Each of those companies has its own privacy terms. None of them are given your information for their own marketing.
Your information is not sold, rented, or traded. If a real estate transaction requires sharing your details with a lender, escrow, title company or transaction coordinator, that happens inside the transaction and with your knowledge, not through this website.
How long it is kept, and how to get it removed
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes it was collected for.
You can ask to see what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email kate@cryptonrealty.com and say what you want done. There is no form to complete and no fee.
To stop marketing email, click unsubscribe at the bottom of any of it, or email and ask. To stop texts, reply STOP.
Some records have to be kept regardless of a deletion request, because real estate transaction records are subject to retention requirements under California law and brokerage record-keeping rules. Those are transaction records, not marketing records.
How it is protected
Personal information is protected by reasonable security safeguards against loss and theft, and against unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Information is collected by lawful and fair means, and where appropriate with your knowledge or consent.
No website can promise perfect security, and any site that tells you otherwise is overselling. What is promised here is that the standard protections are in place and that information is not handled carelessly.
Children
This site is meant for adults buying and selling property. It is not directed at children, and information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information here, email kate@cryptonrealty.com and it will be deleted.
California residents
Crypton Realty is based in Alameda, California, and this policy is posted in part because the California Online Privacy Protection Act requires any commercial website collecting personal information from California residents to post one.
California residents may request access to the personal information held about them and may request its deletion, as described above. Requests are honored regardless of where you live.
Changes, and how to reach a human
This policy can be updated. The review date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.

Do you sell my information?
No. It is not sold, rented or traded. Form submissions go into my contact system so I can follow up with you, and nowhere else.
What happens if I submit a form but change my mind?
Email kate@cryptonrealty.com and ask to be removed. It gets done. You do not need to give a reason.
Will I get marketing email if I only asked one question?
You may, because market updates go out to people who have been in touch. Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately.
Does the chat assistant on this site store what I type?
Your messages are sent to Anthropic so the assistant can answer using the content of this site. Do not type anything into it you would not put in an email.
